Product Description of Molecular Sieve Desiccant
IG exhibits high water absorption capacity at low water content, which will ensure high durability of the glass. Molecular sieve IG 3A is used to avoid co-adsorption of air, which translates into glass deflection and deflection of glass panels. It is also free of dust and static electricity.
They are mostly supported and separated by aluminum spacers, which are then sealed. We offer Molecular Sieve IG in 0.5mm to 2.0mm beads packed under the spacer with special equipment.
It is a highly porous crystalline aluminosilicate in the form of beads. The pore openings in the crystal are about 3 A in diameter and function to absorb gas or liquid molecules smaller than the effective diameter of their pores. The diameter in the molecule can be changed to tune the size of the pore openings that allow preferential adsorption.
